I just ordered a Hapax! (Order update?)

Yes, you’re right. I contacted DHL and they informed me the HTS number they received was missing a couple digits. I’ve contacted Squarp and am in the middle of sorting it out now while my unit is on hold. Hopefully, it get resolved soon because I’m eager to get my hands on it.

I meant that the price you noted for your. import fees have the same numerals as mine, but in a different order even though we are in the same place as me. Hope they get it figured out. I was pleasantly surprised to one be paying $39.29, so thanks for that!

Curious the timeline on when you find out what you owe. Mine arrives Tuesday and I’ll be gone Mon-Friday, but someone will be here to receive it. Did they email you a few days before it arrived or the day of?
I assume they just hold it locally if you’re not around to pay customs?
Hope I luck out like the other NorCal guy and don’t have to pay at all…

DHL sent me an email today with the amount to pay, a way to pay it online, and said if the don’t receive payment by the delivery date (next Monday), they will hold onto it for five days, and if they still haven’t received payment by then, they will return it to Squarp.

Oh nice. I should get the email soon then, as mine has a delivery date of next Tuesday.

I finally got notice that mine has shipped today. I ordered it on April 20. It should arrive on Tuesday, September 13.

I got mine a day earlier than expected

Got mine.

I just wanted to say, this seems to be shaping up to be an absolute killer device. I think for many people, this will be a much better fit workflow-wise than the Cirklon.

For me, I think might just be the best sequencer I’ve used, and this is based on just a quick test – so excited about the possibilities and workflow. Chapeau, Squarp.

My :tophat: comes off as well. Only had a bit of time to jam with it this week, but it already looks very promising to me. Was pondering to come in here and explicitly say it was worth the wait - you kinda beat me to it - but worth repeating

Mina arrived 30 minutes ago. Hooked it up make a simple idea without reading anything in the manual. Good good. I expect this to be one of my best friends for a long time.

I ordered one on 9/7 (early morning of 9/8 in france) while the website said delivery in september. Now it says delivery in october. I really hope mine ships in september as I am not going to be home in october :-O. Any word from squarp on delivery dates for new orders?

Not so lucky in my neck of NorCal. Just paid $45. But it’ll be here Tuesday. Woohoo! (Too bad I’m out of town til Friday…)

I ordered mine on aug 10th. Got a mail announcement on sep 2nd they would be shipping out soon, but haven’t gotten a shipping number in the recent days like the rest. Now thinking maybe my order got pushed back to october as well.

For reference: I’m in central Ohio and my duty fee was $39.37.

I am starting a new thread based on your idea. I think it would be helpful to see how others are using their Hapax(es) (what’s the plural in English for Hapax? Maybe it’s just Hapax).

Per my daughter, doctoral candidate at Princeton, “Hapax Legomenom” means “spoken once.”

It’s a term generally applied in Biblical studies when a word appears once in the Hebrew Bible.

Thus, there is no plural for “Hapax,” perhaps implying that it is a unique product, which it most certainly is!

Wow, I never thought I’d get such a thorough response! Thanks for checking with your smart-cookie daughter.

Every order placed before Friday last week is still shipping in September.
Only new orders might ship in October, hence the change on the website. If we hit zero bump on the road, they might ship in late September, but we chose to announce October as a conservative estimate.

Box came into my girlfriend’s store today. There’s a pretty significant hole in the shipping box, hopefully, no damage to the Hapax! Will find out tonight when she gets home.

Edit: no damage. I like the packaging cover that comes with it–nice for not having to buy a deck saver for it to prevent dust. Also, I put the colored sticker on my car. It’s not something I’d normally do, but what are the chances someone will see it and actually know what it is?

I’ve only played with it for about 15 minutes, but it seems really nice, although with my age and eyes, the button labels are harder to read than I thought they’d be, though the screens are easier to read than I feared. I am hoping/guessing muscle memory will aid me in working around the small print labels on the function buttons.

Got mine, thanks!!!
