I request the addition of several virtual MIDI buses which could be selected as the input of a track, output of a track, or output of an Output effect. These buses could be labeled V1, V2, V3, etc. The buses would be accessible from both projects and their behavior would be identical to physical MIDI IO except there would be no hardware settings relating to sync, compensation, metronome, etc.
The existence of these virtual buses would allow for loopback tricks without consuming physical IO. The virtual buses could also be used as a target for incoming MIDI merge and filter operations, which I submitted as a separate request linked below:
