i know its older but to me, this fader unit is great at compounding scene recalls that are built from any/all presets that you can create, while not needing to have the created presets open in order to recall scenes that were made from said presets. its not a fade but as long as you can use cut edits in your music, you can reach potentially any cc or nrpn or program changes or even sysex strings contained in your presets, captured as a scene. you can then even put them under any of the buttons so a simple button press can recall an entire scene, as long as you dont overlap the recalling of scenes that draw from separate presets. this is potentially very deep! 100 scenes and 50 presets full of custom fader/button assignments!
