When selecting notes in step mode, can you lock to scale?

In other words, can you select a scale so that when you scroll through the notes on the data wheel it will jump to only the notes in the scale.

For example if you select c minor scale it will scroll from C right to D skipping over C# as it’s not in scale

You can either :

  • use scale fx, which will then force notes to scale
  • use live mode, select scale and use smart pads (*)

(*) this can also be done via midi

Thank you. That is what I expected. No big deal, though could make a convenient feature.

Not really viable - the track doesn’t have a scale associated with it
