Can elaborate what parameters the lfo is assigned to on shaper and which aspects shaper is then modulating

do you have a hapax? just try it. ill put it on filter, amp (so far) or maybe some sort of voice parameter like fm amount… and usually locked to tempo, then modulate lfo note value per note of the melody, maybe just experiment with modulating the bend parameter until something works. im still getting used to the shaper and i desperately wish for more note values to sync to but this is turning out to be the most amazing wobble machine!

wobbles take a while to refine to the point where they dont sound half ass. they need to fit the energy of the melody or phrase but have the power to sound quite a bit more sophisticated once refined to the sequence. of course, i love to wobble stuff that wasnt meant to wobble, that werent built with internal lfos etc or that lack another envelope or something that hapax fx can add. any parameter of any plugin or hardware synth. for instance, im wobbling my MPC 1000’s filter in a way it sure doesnt have the capability to deliver. and i can record it into the sequencer when i like it. im actually just starting to mess with this combo so… just got the MPC. gotta refine the technique. i love synths that have nimble lfos but since hapax does, i just need cc access and it doesnt matter if theres not one built in! wobbles can get messy and over developed of course so its like a haiku. you need to keep it simple

btw im talking about the shaper acting on the output of the lfo and both of them automated in the ‘automation’ screen. often times several parameters. whatever seems clever

Thanks for the detailed info.

I do have the hapax, however the shaper doesn’t seem to work on ccs or pitchbend for me. I double check my settings are correct by assigning a lfo directly to a CC on my MC707 and it modulates as expected then do exact same assignment with shaper and nothing, no effect / modulation.

Not sure what’s awry, I hope to get to the bottom of it soon as it’s a bit curious.

Shaper is working on notes for me though

pay attention that the same destination cc the lfo is set to is the same cc that shows in the ‘reshape’ field within shaper ui. top left
