There seems to be some weirdness trying to select the layers on Firmware 1.44.
Made a quick video to demonstrate the behavior.
I’ve formatted the card to resolve a previous issue and have confirmed the latest firmware is installed.
Anyone have a proposed fix or workaround?

The procedure you show is assigning CV in 4 to modulate the sample 4 layer.
To manually select the layer, please refer to this section of the manual.
