VOID (New owner struggling to load sample folders)

Just got my Rample in the mail a few days ago, along with a Vermona RandomRhythm to trigger it. Very excited.

That said…

I have sadly been unable to figure out how to successfully load / trigger the folders of samples I have. I’m a professional writer/editor and have been for 20 years, so I SHOULD be able to figure this out, but the instructions I’m seeing online lead me to no sounds coming out, or a VOID coming up on the screen. I see the folders there (A1-A4), so I’m sure the problem is with me, since it will play some samples that the previous owner had loaded.

For lack of a better term, I need the “explain it to me like I’m five” approach. What has worked for other new Rample owners? Favorite completely introductory video or button-by-button explanation?

OK, I think I misunderstood the filing name convention. I was thinking a folder per voice, rather than the folder being the entire kit, with the numbers designating the voice This SHOULD work. Will find out tonight…

An update: it appears that my samples were the problem, though I still can’t determine how or why. I downloaded the zip of all the original Rample samples (which are great), and they work just fine. But when I attempt to add my own samples, the Rample doesn’t see them. I’m following the 1234 naming convention, and they’re high-quality WAVs from Samples from Mars. So quality isn’t an issue. Has anyone else had a problem where the Rample simply won’t see your added samples? In the meantime, I’ll just play with what’s pre-loaded, because those drum sound are solid.
