Visual representation of which steps have notes

Wasn’t sure what to put as the title that would make sense, but anyway.
When manually programming a pattern via learn and the notes used are a greater range than the 8 note height of the grid allows it can get quite confusing and easy to lose track of where you are as I can’t easily tell which is the last step I used.
I can’t really find anything in the manual that can help me on this and i’m guessing this is to do with the restriction of the height of the grid.
It would be quite handy to maybe have the track numbers light up in a way to let you know which steps have notes on them even if it was just a quick 2nd + key combination to quickly flash it up.
If there is something like this in there already, please let me know!

Using scale mode (where applicable) helps somewhat to keep more notes visible, but you’re not alone feeling that way. Came up in Replacing my Pyramid with a Hapax as well.

Ok, that’s good. I don’t feel like an idiot then ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That’s what I sent to Squarp 2 days ago:
STEP mode, Piano Roll:
Display a light color across an entire vertical column to indicate that a note is already placed there (even if it is out of visibility).
