Velocity scaling/modulation?

Hi there, I’m new to the forum. Have the Hapax for couple of weeks now and loving it (former Pyramid user).

I was wondering if it is possible to mutate the midi velocity itself (and not any CC params that might be influenced by it).

I’ve been utilising this a lot with M4L in Ableton. Having instrument parameters react to velocity and when being able to affect this velocity can kind of work like a “macro”.

I found the scaler midi FX, but this did not have velocity as target.

I known there is a mod matrix that I could setup where I could for instance target the cutoff and some other things, then modulate that with an LFO or envelope.

However, I’m just wondering if there is any way to direct an LFO to modulate the velocity output itself.

I think you want the shaper effect, set the reshape to velocity, then use the mod matrix lfo (or lfo effect) to target the shaper parameters.

So it is possible! Must have somehow scrolled passed the shapers velocity param. Thanks much for poiting that out.
