System-8 - note off not working

Anyone else have a Roland System-8?

Whenever I play any note, it never shuts off, despite enabling note on/off in the Pyramid’s Preferences.

I have tried modifying all the MIDI out settings on both the Pyramid and System-8 and can’t find any combination that works.

Anyone with a System-8 who can share their settings that work for them?

Maybe obvious, but you’re sure you don’t have the Hold function enabled on the S8?

Thank you for the suggestion, but no, it is not on - and the note will stop if I set Midi Out to Off in the Pyramid.

Settings
Midi In
Set Midi Echo to Stop Echo
