Does this work for the LXR-02? Or just the DIY OG?

Yes - despite the original LXR midi implementation being truly bizarre and locked to midi channel one and requiring NRPN messages for full control…Erica Synths made essentially no improvements to the original midi implementation for the LXR-02 (At least as far as I can tell based on the Sept 2021 manual update.).

So, the above definitions should still work assuming you stick to midi channel 1.

I would have actually bought the LXR-02 if Erica had fixed the midi implementation. It would have made WAY more sense to have it controlled on a channel-per-voice basis like the Sequential Circuits SixTrak. I could never get the NRPN functions to work with any device other than a computer and it took me forever to get it to work right. Still hoping someone (Erica or Someone working with the original LXR firmware) will take a hack at making some midi implementation improvements…but it’s been nearly 10 years now…so probably unlikely to happen.

Thanks a lot! FWIW, I’ve been able (after much struggle) to get the LXR working using external MIDI. It’s still prone to inexplicably glitchy behavior, though. They do claim that another firmware update is coming relatively soon! We’ll see. I just love the thing and can’t seem to part with it. It does stuff that nothing else does…or at least nothing under $2000.00.
