Set velocity in Live Mode?

Hi,
This is probably a dumb question, but I can’t figure out (or find in manual/forum) how to set the velocity of notes played in Live Mode. I press a pad and I’m pretty sure the note that’s playing is at max velocity (127). What if I want it to be, say, 100 by default?

ps. I should have mentioned that ‘Scale’ is set to ‘Chromatic’.

I think whatever you have set for velocity in Step mode is the default for Live mode.
