Send Transport MMC to DEVICE out

Hello, can someone tell me if it’s possible to send MMC messages from the Hapax to the DEVICE Out for exemple? AUM’s transport on my iPad in Learning mode doesn’t receive any signal while I press STOP or PLAY on the Hapax. Also I’ve try to use the Midi Thru Host>Device and use the FS Pedal ( cc 64 ) or any controls from my Nektar Panorama T4 but MIDI THRU is not working ( wonder if it’s a bug ).
If I plug the footswitch pedal directly on the Hapax and put the iPad in learning mode the footswitch pedal is not detected.
Is it so hard for a sequencer to send PLAY and STOP messages to an external device? What am I missing here?
Can someone confirm this doesn’t work so I will open a feature request please?
Thanks
Best to All

I havent used an ipad for years but i wouldnt think it needs to learn standard start/stop messages. Set it up to send the messages and whatevers plugged in to receive them and will start stop automatically. I use my hapax as my midi clock and everything start stops with it, usb and all midi connections. Double check all the settings on the hapax and everything plugged into it, you can usually turn on/off listening to mmc on everything with settings.

I use a sustain pedal with my hydrasynth deluxe, sending its midi to a hapax midi in, the pedal gets sent to whatever I have selected on the hapax without any problems. I think its a setup issue rather than a bug, at least for me all these things work.

Midi thru should just send out whatever arrives at the midi in. Its probably worth getting something to monitor midi messages, so you can suss out whats going on. Press 2nd and live will show you midi in on the hapax, you can also use lots of free apps to monitor midi. That would let you quickly find what isnt sending mmc.

Hopefully you have it working already, good luck.

Hello Jiggle, Midi Thru works indeed, I forgot that I broke the usb port on my Nektar , is no host anymore and use MIDI IN , so MIDI IN > DEVICE all OK.

My actual config is AUM/iPad as MIDI master clock and everything works from AUM’s transport bar ; with that config I would like to use the PLAY and STOP buttons on the Hapax BUT when I hit PLAY or STOP on the Hapax AUM doesn’t receive any message.

All connections are good because if I push STOP two times on the Hapax it sends the note off cc 123 and AUM detect it ( I can bind it to the Stop/Rewind parameter on the AUM’s Transport )…

I have to investigate a little more , I’m going to try with my launchpad and see how my iPad react…

@Jiggle THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP :+1:
