Same midi channel for 2 ports

Hello,

I was just testing to use my midi controller to send CC to my hapax, but noticed a problem as they were received on 2 different units using midi channel 1.

The only solution would be to use different channels ? Or can I get my controller sending to only one port and how ?

Midi thru turned off on the out port you want to avoid external cc being sent?

Midi thru turned off where ? On Hapax ?

There’s nothin plugged on any midi thru port from any machine

The test was to send some CC to Analog Four (from midi controler on usb input) on Port A while Analog Rytm was also receiving on Port B
