Route Midi Internally?

Is it possible to route midi internally? For example, let’s say I have a 3 note chord on Track 1. I would like to send those notes to another Track, and on that Track use a Filter Effect to extract the lowest note and then manipulate further (eg: add a Euclidean effect and Transpose to make a repeating baseline). Is any of this possible with the virtual cables?

I don’t seem to be able to get anything like this working… I did try using the Output effect and sending the notes onwards to another channel and then have a Track Input set to receive that Midi but it’s silent…

its a common request. you can route midi but only to another output with no fx.

Oh ok - good to know. Hopefully one day

make sure you tell squarp your requests on their contact page

if you use a DAW theres more midi FX and tricks than you can shake a stick at, with control from hapax

Plus one for this request

On the Pyramid you could ‘consolidate’ each and every track including euclidean, all the FX etc which was the best thing since the invention of the wheel, but the overlords at Squarp decided to delete this function in the Hapax for some reason.

What I do now is fysically connect a short DIN/TRS midi cable from i.e. output B to input D and playback-record the track I want to consolidate. It’s a little bit annoying but it get’s the job done and it’s better than nothing I guess lol

i bounce from hapax to mpc 1000 quite successfully. not that people are interested lol

I think I asked for this feature a long time ago. If what you’re saying is what I think. I wanted to bake down the Euclid algo to actual editable midi data

Yep. Agree. It seems like a big miss.
