Hi all, I have what I think is a simple question. I have a pattern of notes, I wanted to add some pitch-bend via the PB controller on my keyboard.
I was hoping I could just record the pitchbend data over the notes by entering record mode on the Hapax and “performing” the PB on my keyboard while it cycled through the pattern. I can hear the pitchbend, but it doesn’t get recorded. Is there a trick to making this work? Feel free to point me to a section of the manual I may have overlooked.
I just figured this out myself. It seems you have to stop the recording process before it loops around again. Otherwise it will rerecord over the pitchbend that you just did. Try stopping at the end of the pattern.
Ah thank you! That makes sense. It’s recording it, but when it cycles back, it’s overwriting that with 0 values. I can see this could create a bit of a headache trying to stop it before the end of the pattern while you are recording a continuous input to the very end of the pattern, but good to know how it works. Thank again.
You can automatically stop the recording at the end of the pattern with a setting. Its 2nd and settings and select rec off to end pattern. it will then automatically turn off the recording after the first loop.
