Record ARP into a Seq?

Hi,
Just wondering if we can record ARP notes into a SEQ track as yet to capture those ‘live’ moments as played ?

FX-out to another track.

Glad you asked this question! I’ve been wanting a feature similar to the Toraiz Squid’s Timewarp, which constantly records all midi in the background, so you can capture those random unrepeatable moments for further editing.

So I’m guessing by doing the above i’ll be able to achieve similar to that? I would just need to keep recording while experimenting with the arp or random effects and then be able to capture them into clips?

FX out doesn’t work on tracks, just outputs.

You could connect an output to an input and potentially do that. I know that a way to freeze all of the effects is a popular feature request that is available on pyramid.

It’s not quite the same thing but record settings allows you to have open ended recording. Limited to 32 bars but better than trying to record into a loop. It’s pretty easy to slice out sections after that.

Interesting - could you explain more? Don’t think I’ve come across the ‘record settings’ feature.

Good to know something similar exists on the pyramid, so it hopefully will come to Hapax soon! I sent in a request for a feature like this last year, I think i called it ‘MIDI print’ or something like that.

Use shift-settings. There’s a punch in feature that’s really useful too.
