So I made this in a few hours of spare time I didn’t really have tonight. But I couldn’t figure out how to do a couple things I am trying to do.
Is there a way to send a CC message somehow, I assume CC is what i need, that when i select a different track on the hapax that it will simultaneously select and arm the corresponding track in Bitwig?
Also I really have no idea when to use sends. I read about it and I honestly feel stupid trying to understand why or when I would use them. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Tips also welcome if you see something i did wrong or could have done more optimally, I am a sponge.
I am tired and my daughter will be up in 4 hours so I am going to bed, but I look forward to enacting your suggestions tomorrow and to see what the hapax can do for my workflow cause it feels like it’s pretty going to change everything. I am excited.
so… youre trying to send cc to bitwig for… what purpose? and a send… in the mixer in bitwig? what kind of send and why do you think you want one? switching tracks on hapax wont arm or do anything in bitwig. youll need to. arm your tracks manually in bitwig. a ‘send’ the way i think you mean, in the bitwig mixer takes an audio signal and sends it to something like a reverb if thats how you set it up. its an alternative to an ‘insert’ where the reverb would be on the individual track. its a way to avoid opening a bunch of reverbs unnecessarily and open only one instead but send audio to it from many tracks at once..
So that space channel I made down there on the bottom right IS a send then, correct? And it can only be placed after the instrument to chain before the master, is that also correct?
I didn’t know what I’m doing with any of this quote yet, but I’m going to get there. I would like to move outside of the box eventually. I’ve just got essentials and I’m not ready to fully commit to any saw yet lol. I bought reason way back in the day and enjoy it and upgraded to 12 a black Friday or so back but I’m not sure what to think about their future just yet either. Kinda wish I sold my license like a year ago lol.
any tool just requires your attention and study and tenacity to yield results.
