Power/USB connection hacks?

so on July 3 you didn’t have a problem but were “gently prodding it with a bamboo skewer” and contacted support on July 15 because the port developed a problem?

Or am I missing something here?

Yea, it’s like poking a bug with a stick to see if it’s still alive

Sure, however you want to portray it.
I plug/unplug the connector a lot bc I’m setting it up at different spots throughout the space. I guess I can be clumsy sometimes and yank on the cord.
I’ve had r.boutique devices die on me after enough gigs w/ them.
It seems like the format has been fragile over time albeit USB type B & USB3 connections, which I still gig with. USB3 is as durable as hdmi imo.

I verified w/ Squarp that they can fix and I’d imagine they’d be up for a paid service after warranty expires. I could also order the part and de/re-solder if it’s thru hole. I’m not sure why the OP1 has worked better. Maybe the housing secures the connection from wiggling. Apparently USBmini is rated for 5K cycles.

FWIW squarp was nice about the inquiry and acknowledged my concerns (& mentioned that not many users are reporting the issue).

This is a really good idea
