Hi there. I’m new here and interested in a Hapax. I’ve been pouring over the manual and searching around a bit here but I am unsure of the answer to this. I’d like to know how versatile the ‘math’ functionality is on the Hapax.
Here is something I love to do on the OPXY: Lets say I wanted a particular step to transpose up a 5th every third out of four times it plays. Would this be possible by combining the maths and the midi effects in a specific way?
There is probably another way to do this but Math is just conditional on if a note is played or not. An easy way to achieve what you want would be to place both possible notes on the same step (Original, and up a 5th) and then set the Math value on the original to not play every 3 of 4 loops (!3:4) and set the up a 5th to play every 3 of 4 loops (3:4).
Ah that’s good to know, thank you. Are the math functions completely definable variables or do you just have a predefined list? This was unclear to me.
Also, can midi effects by turned on or off on a per-step basis with the math functions yet or is it still limited just to ‘fill’? That would be a killer feature.
