Hi, I have just received my Hapax and connected my keyboard midi Din out to the midi Din A in of the Hapax. In Live mode, no midi Note On message is received when I press a key on my keyboard when monitoring the incoming midi message on the Hapax. I tried with another keyboard with the same result. My track 1 is set to Midi A channel 1 as an input (and Midi A channel 1 for the output). What is wrong ?
Have you tried the midi monitor?
Hold 2ND + Toggle Live to display the MIDI MONITOR, showing midi in events (left screen) and midi out events (right screen).
Yes I did : no incoming event on the left screens when in monitoring mode.
have you tried setting the hapax incoming midi to all channels, maybe your midi keyboard just doesnt send on channel 1

I will try but when monitoring incoming midi on Hapax not data are shown. I tried with two different keyboards. I am becoming to think it is a software issue. May be I will need to update the firmware. The issue is very curious. I will wait on the forum to see if someone has a possible simple fix.
did you buy it used, if so there might be some funky settings going on, is midi thru turned off, in midi in settings theres a setting to ignore specific incoming midi messages like notes, are these turned off.
I am also not sure if the midi monitor monitors incoming messages from inactive channels, I would therefore also try to set the input port to all active to monitor all ports and channels on the selected track.

Problem solved. I restarted the Hapax and the midi is now received. Thank you all for your help.
