New Hapax, scratched screens

Has anyone received a ‘new’ Hapax with scratches on both screens?

Mine came, shipped from an online retailer with no screen protectors, which maybe is normal (shouldn’t be) and both screens look slightly sand papered like they’d been ‘cleaned’ with a rough cloth.

I could see the unusually rough box insert doing this since it really is quite rough, with no plasticky screen protectors to prevent it.

Wondering if anyone else got scratched screens?

Are you sure it isn’t the actual screen protectors that have these scratches? You’re sure you can’t peel anything of starting in the corners?

I had slightly tried but your post made me try harder, and with much ‘edge finding’ pulled them off!

Really hard to see. Whew.
