Need help hooking up Hapax to MPC Live 3

Hello, as the title states, need help hooking up Hapax to MPC Live 3. I’ve followed a couple threads but cant seem to get these two guys hooked up. I have an assortment of cables and think everything is correct. It must be settings on either of the two devices…? Can anyone jump on a chat or text thread to help get this sorted? I can shoot some beer money for the time.

it should be as simple as USB (or MIDI Din) out from Hapax to the USB port of MPC. then you have to set each track to receive on the preferred channel that corresponds with whatever Hapax track(s) you want to assign to the MPC

Tried that. Nothing

are the Hapax tracks also set to send out MIDI on the proper port (USB if you’re using USB, MIDI A/B if you’re using the DIN ports)?

any MPC tracks set to send/receive MIDI to/from Hapax should also be set to MERGE not AUTO
