My requests for hapax

these have been sent to the contact page.

  • more tempo divisions (triplets and dotted values) for synced lfos etc
  • early and late bendable automation segments - ‘shaper’ fx
  • automation grid values of 0, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96 and 112 corresponding to the 8 buttons we start with - editable by holding a row button while in automation screen per parameter, saved with project

since everybody else has a thread and they seem to have had their requests added. these are my humble requests that would make hapax more useable to everyone imo.

Requested similar, but will throw my support here to hopefully get more attention.

i am also interested in any remote midi control over hapax patterns and functions. im aware input to the matrix can give control over things. i admit im not using this yet

bumping this, feel like it needs way more attention, especially more tempo divisions (in the over all device, i feel all the sync/tempo divisions are lacking)

thanks for this. im convinced my repeating my wishes rubs some the wrong way (not my intention)so its great to hear others echo my wishes.

squarp released the shaper and that takes care of my second wish above. thank you squarp!

as soon as more tempo divisions are released, hapax becomes soooooo much more essential to my workflow. i hope, yearn for, look forward to, when those become reality. if thats the only thing added then i will be just fine with regard to my wish list.

hapax is still the best hardware sequencer i have ever touched! im a big fan.

done!
automation grid values of 0, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96 and 112

Hello, what is done?

are you unable to set automation grid values to 0, 16 etc? I can.

he means the 8 buttons get even values between 0-127 making it a little more usable in creating many modulations.

i think he made a contact page submission for feature request

Ah OK ! I thought it was done already  Min Max range for modulation and grid division is on my top list ! Already made a request for it too.

Thanks

best regards

As far as I can see it’s done!

The values for the automation grid are, from bottom to top:
0 (0%), 18 (14%), 36,(28%), 54 (48%) 72 (57%), 90 (71%), 108 (85%), 127 (100%)

plus if you press and hold on any step, you can twiddle the knob and adjust the value in finer resolution.

Ah you mean the Assign knobs? you want to see 0-127 instead of 0-100%?

no. i want what i stated in the first post. essentially 0-127 divided equally between 8 buttons which would make the top button 112 not 127. its useful to have 8 equal divisions of the full range instead of having to dial it back every time. if i want 127 i can dial it up, which doesnt happen as often. i am constantly needing the exact numbers i mentioned, (0, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96 and 112) so i am always re-dialing the numbers every time. but its not a deal breaker, i forgive hapax for being this way :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

oh OK, I see… perhaps you could save that as one of your patterns, then copy and paste it when needed?

But why so you often need those numbers? Just curious if you feel like sharing!

this might be good too. i always prefer exact values to %

i mean, 127 is an exact value…

So it’s more an OCD thing, or has somethign to do with harmonics or rhythms?

i always cut loops into 8 exact slices but i also treat most stuff this way. its ocd i guess but is preferred if youre cutting up drum loops.

OK I see now! So you don’t need 127 because that would essentially be end of loop?

if you think bout it, 127 is the very end of your sample where 112 is the last 1/8 note
