More than one midi input?

Firstly, I’m unclear as to wether I can connect two input devices? Would a simple midi splitter suffice or would a recommended thru box be advised?

I’m hoping I can us DSI Tempest and Auturia keystep both connected into input on pyramid.

The Tempest is also connected to to midi out A.

Is this possible?

As far as I know, a MIDI merger is needed for this function.

Like @kbzs said, a merge box is needed for merging multiple signals into one. A thru-box works the other way around, it creates multiple copies of a signal.
