Modulation CV not recording when Track Input set to CV/Gate

I’m trying to live record a MOD track using live modulation CV input on Input A and live Gate inputs on Input B. The relevant Track Input CV (accessed from Track Configuration Inputs) is set to CV/Gate AB. Only the Gate inputs are recorded. But If I set Track Input CV to MOD A, changing nothing else at all, the CV input on A is recorded fine. Exactly the same happens using inputs C and D and Track Input CV set to CV/Gate CD - no Modulation is recorded from Input C, but Gates are recorded from D. If I switch Track Input CV to MOD C, and change nothing else, CV Input on Input C is recorded. I can’t see any other reasons or settings that would be different for these CV input sources so I think this may be a bug?

OK I think I now understand. I was trying to record both CV and Gate to a MOD track and I now realise that can’t be done because using a CV/Gate input only works on a MONO (NOTE) track. The reason was to capture a rapid note run effect I discovered on a resonator module (2HP Pluck) which responds to changes in note CV from a quantiser which is following a rapidly and randomly varying CV (from Marbles), even after the gate has closed. These post-gate CV changes aren’t recorded in a NOTE track. But I can record the effect on Hermod+ by using two Tracks - one set as NOTE and the other set as MOD. With the CV and Gate into Inputs A and B respectively, I set the Input Configuration of the NOTE track as CV/Gate, and the Input Configuration of the MOD Track as MOD A. I record both simultaneously using Multitrack REC (X+Y+Rec). Then I playback the Gate from the NOTE track and the CV from the MOD track into Pluck, and I get exactly what I heard when I recorded it, with all of the note runs. Phew! Might be a good idea to update the User Manual to make it clear that CV/GATE input only works on a NOTE track. Or allow an option for Gate and continuous CV recording on a MOD Track when the Input config is set to CV/Gate.
