Midi note value display on live drum mode

Help

Can anyone help me and explain how I get the live mode drum dis[lay to show the note value and not the velocity? I must have changed something but I cannot for the life of me work out how to reset it. I need to be able to map to a drum machine

Cannot find anything about this in the manual

Thanks

That looks like the note value (numeric)
Velocity wouldn’t make any sense there, note can have any velocity

Thanks Rv0 Yep you are right. Strange how it changed from the original but this works better for me so all sorted Thanks again for your help

Could you elaborate on how this works better for you? I quite miss the actual depiction of the note being sent out, or I would have to print out a list of these numeric values.

I guess a lot of gear uses note numbers, as there’s 2 different standards (yamaha/roland standard iirc), one is offset one octave from the other. So C3 would be C4 on some devices. So numbers are the most compatible way

Sure, I wanted to map a Machine Drum Mark One. Once I had established the midi note number of the first Pad it was a simple case of advancing in sequence. But I can see how not having display as notes could be draw back in some situations.

That works aswell I guess. Ill just set the base correctly and have it correspond with the note of the sample on my DTII. From there in the step mode where it does display the note in transposing individual steps.

And apparently there is also Elektron. In which value 60 (C3 or C4) is actually C5…:man_shrugging:
