MIDI CC to drive modulation output (not effects)

@thetechnobear thinking this through, one thing I’m not quite clear on.

Let’s say I’m using Hermod track 2 for audio, driven by Octatrack MIDI channel 3 (since by default Octa MIDI channel is bound to Hermod track + 1).

Now I send some CC 1 messages (consistent with Hermod default CC) down the same MIDI channel 3.

Back on the Hermod side, I need a new track to drive my filter - let’s say Hermod track 3 (since track 2 is being used for audio)

So as well as setting the INPUT MOD value on MIDI FX as you describe (actually I might not need to do this as am using default MIDI CC 1), I would need to change Hermod track 3 MIDI channel mapping from 4 (its default) to 3.

And I do this via the CV OUT parameter, as described here -

I think we’re conflating the ideas of tracks here with MIDI tracks vs. Hermod tracks. What I’m wondering is possible is if I would be able to use multiple incoming cc’s from MIDI IN’s Track 1 and multiple incoming cc’s from MIDI IN’s Track 2 (or otherwise) and map those to different CV outputs. So for the first four Hermod outputs, map those to MIDI Track 1, CC messages 3,4,5,6 (or whatever), and then for the last four map them MIDI Track 2’s cc messages 3,4,5,6 or 4,5,6,10 (or whatever).
