So I just got a microfreak and when I hook it up to my pyramid it will make sound until I press play on the pyramid. Then the patch will only make sound for a fraction of a second before it cuts out. Then the only way to get the patch to make sound again is to switch it to a different patch and then back and it will play until I press play on the pyramid again… I’m also having problems getting sequences to play if the clock is set to anything besides internal on the microfreak. I’m at a loss. Any help?
without knowing more about how they’re connected/MIDI routed . . . turn off MIDI Echo in Settings? (my first instinct is it sounds like a MIDI feedback loop issue)
MIDI ECHO ALLOW ECHO STOP ECHO AUTO A AUTO B
If STOP ECHO, received notes (midi in) are not transmitted to midi out, but they still can be recorded. Handy if your synth (connected to Pyramid via midi in and midi out) does not include the setting “Local Control = OFF/ON”. If AUTO MIDI A or B, midi events received on the MIDI input will be ignored if they were previously sent on MIDI A or MIDI B, to avoid midi loops.
Tried those settings and none of that seems to help. The microfreak does have a local on\off setting. If it’s set to off it won’t sound at all.
