I would like to use my Roland SPD-SX Pro as a MIDI controller to “play in” drum parts to my Hapax. For example, Pad 1 would output a certain MIDI note on a given channel, and appear in the Kick (1) Lane on a drum track. Basically 1:1 mapping of pad to lane for all 8 lanes. I plan to use the resulting patterns to send trigs to percussion modules in my eurorack setup.
I am confused how to configure this. I understand how to create an instrument definition to trigger an external drum machine, but this is kind of the inverse…
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
