Lock incoming MIDI notes to specific out in Poly 8 Voices

Hi everyone - maybe I’m missing things, or am going about this the wrong way.

I want to set up a template project where I have:

  • Track 1 CV set to 8 voices
  • each voice is “locked” to a specific MIDI note.
  • -gate output 8 only triggers when receiving C0, 7 only triggers when receiving D0, and so on

At this point, I can get it to happen, but it’s not consistent for the following reasons:

  • Track 1 CV set to 8 voices
  • Poly, and each voice is set to Poly
  • I have to trigger the 8 voices with the notes I want in order from 1-8 one time, then those notes will lock to the CV outputs.
  • if I mess up or forget to trigger in order, I have to start a new project to redo this initiating of note locking

What am I doing wrong? And how can I do things differently?

One alternative could be to set up eight independent tracks, each with a FILTER effect, each letting only one specific note through.

Thank you for this suggestion. It really is a great solution - but, then I can’t really see the entire sequence’s notes in one view.

I’m wondering if something like the xp32’s TRIG NOTE setting can be applied to this. Or maybe a different type of Track Layout option that’s similar to 8 Voices, but is more like 8 Gates + Mod.
