Recorded a live set of 5 tracks I’ve been working on.
Thanks @squarpadmin
. Wouldn’t have ever been possible with out the hapax.

How is mc505? Is the sound still ok for 2025? Is that the drums you use here?
I been looking at getting one.
I’ve had my 505 for a long time, it was the first synth I bought. It does make a lot of sound. 8 channels of synth plus a drum channel. It has some pretty classic 303/808/909 sounds but they are not as robust as those actual analogue synths.
Most of my drums I program on my MPC. That’s what I really learned to make beats on. But the combo of a sample machine like the MPC and the MC 505 does add a lot of layering to drum sounds. And the 505 has a JV 1080 sound board and so the ability to modify an 808 bass is really fun.
I like the machine, and really enjoy some of the classic sounds it can make. Also it fills in a lot of gaps like piano sounds, weird whistles and some 90’s rnb sounds. But it does sound like a 90’s ‘groovebox’ that is attempting to make sounds that were famous from 80s but without quite as much umph cause they packed in so many sounds on a digital chip.
Others probably get more out of it than I do! But I wouldn’t sell mine, it’s pretty fun.
Should you get one? totally, Will it sounds massive? hrm… maybe. But even if it doesn’t there is always the cool light controller ‘D-Beam’ (facepalm).
I just got a 1010 from an auction here in Sweden for 100 euro. There is a iPad editor for it it might be fun!
I think their sampler looks pretty cool (I think your talking about 1010 music). You’ll have to let us know what you think.
No the jv1010 Roland!
Many many sounds from the 90ies. And being to make new ones from my IPad is supercool. It has basic CCs for env and filter
Your going to love that! Little box big sound.
I just looked at the editor it looks very nice. But can’t find the envelopes.. weird hope they are there
