Live drum roll like with the Beatstepp

hello
im trying to switch from my main drum sequencer beatstepp to hapax for a long time now. i like there realy the live roll/looper function for each individual instrument . Does this function exist in hapax live mode? i can’t find it. Or does it only work with programming?

Not sure if this is useful because I’m not sure how the beatstep works, but two thoughts for alternative approaches:

  1. You can utilize the echo effect and map the “fill” button to enable the effect via the mod matrix. There might be a way to record that off/on but I’m not sure.

  2. looping within the step sequencer is covered here. Loop points can be set up live. Hapax Manual | Squarp instruments

Oh thanx ! I totally missed fill as a source :sweat_smile:.
Echo stays stuck when i’m triggering the next pattern row though.
