Legato Mode for CV

Hello,

I recently purchased a Squarp Hermod+! I’m blown away by how much functionality this brought to my Eurorack setup.

One question I have is if a legato mode is possible for the CV mono voices. By this I mean can I command Hermod+ to send a note without firing an accompanying gate?

If you set “Gate Retrig” to OFF in the specific CV/Gate output settings, any notes that overlap won’t cause the gate to re-fire.

If you need both behaviours at different times, you might want to use another GATE output and combine them somehow. You could use a logic module, or a VCA, or a VCS, or even a S&H, and get some pretty complex GATE combinations

For the record, we do plan on simplifying tying notes together, to make programming legatos easier.

Thanks Thibault!

I turned Gate retrig to off, and that worked well for simple legato passages. Combined with the glide effect “note overlap mode” works well too.
