Another special question: Is it possible to have some kind of keytrack feature in Hapax ?
I would like mostly for my Jomox toms that notes affects a CC while the same note would always be the same for the track. As these toms have a fixed pitch unfortunatly (it is possible to change it with automations but it is not really intuitive)
Go to the ModMatrix of a track (first slot of the FX) and select Keytracking as a source. Then route it to any destination you want, including Midi CC.
Keep in mind that midi CC is usually not polyphonic, while keytracking is. So routing keytracking to the midi CC of the filter cutoff will only work as expected for a monophonic sound.
So if your keyboards has a built in option, better use that - as it will be polyphonic for a polyphonic synth.
Ok thanks for the news, I was surprised to not have a keytrack feature.
Unfortunatly for what I want to do it would need to NOT send the notes to notes. And use a fixed one
So I guess the only solution would be to have P.Locks feature in Hapax
Yeah it’s really cool the keytrack and affecting velocity to somethin else.
But I was trying for some sample start parameter but then I would need to not affect velocity… to velocity it’s not possible ?
Haven’t tried it myself, but maybe you could also try the Filter MIDI FX (to filter out all MIDI notes) in conjunction with the keytracking source in the ModMatrix. If it works or not might depend on the order how the incoming MIDI notes are routed internally - if the MIDI FX are pre-ModMatrix, I don’t think it would work. But if they are post or aren’t tied together, then I think it might.
Oh I was missing sun to spend all the time I want on music, but I installed a wind generator it shoud help for the winter (I’m in some of the most windy place in France)
And I got also tons of things I want to try on the Hapax !!! … and some other new gear !!
