Hi there, I just got my Hapax and I’m loving it! Thinking I’m ready to start adding definition files so I can automate CC’s etc.
I’m confused on how we’re supposed to get that info into the Hapax. I see there are numerous community-made definition files but how would I get one that someone made into my hapax? I do not see a download option anywhere…
Thanks in advance!
Hello and welcome! You have to remove the the SD card from the Hapax and transfer them to the ‘Hapax’ folder on the card. Reinstall the card and it’s 2nd and track # for the screen to select the Ins Defs

just copy and paste it into a .txt file and save it on the sd card in the HAPAX folder

Hey and thanks to the both of you! I’m new to definition files and was looking for a simple download option lol.
But if all I gotta do is copy/paste and make a separate .txt file then that’s easy enough too.
I will give this a try! Thanks again!

Might be a template file in the folder but i think there’s also one linked in the online manual

Alright, so I ended up trying copying/pasting and saving as UTF-8 txt file.
Dropped it into the hapax project folder, and was able to see the file name within Hapax. Unfortunately was hit with a “Syntax error Line 1” message when loaded.
I’m guessing it’s something on my end…
How would I go about troubleshooting this?
For context I’m trying the Minifreak!
Idk why but I just repeated the same steps and everything is fine now and now I’m assigning and automating Minifreak CC’s no problem!
Thanks for your time!
