Hermod unable to update firmware

Currently running Hermod 1.71 and looking to upgrade to 1.72.

I’m currently unable to update the firmware on my Hermod. I’ve tried re-formatting the card as MS-DOS FAT 16 and FAT 32 (from MacOS Disk Utility), no luck. When I power on the unit while holding the encoder it just says “Entering bootloader…” forever.

Any ideas?

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue.
Have you tried with a different micro SD card? Maybe it is failing in a subtle way which is confusing the bootloader, and less so the main firmware.

I tried a different card, and it worked the first time. Good thing I had one.
Maybe I should replace the card that came with it?
