Hermod+ Trig Note configuration

Hi all! In reading the manual for the new xp32, I see that it clearly states you can link a specific MIDI note to trigger a gate or trig from a dedicated output of the xp32.

Is this possible without the expander? I used to do this with a Noise Engineering MIDI module and my Syntakt. I’m wondering if I can do the same thing with the Hermod+ standalone.

Basically, I’d like to use one MIDI channel and have note C3 always trigger a gate signal on track 1, and note C4 always trigger a gate signal on track 2, regardless of the order in which they are triggered.

Thanks to jpizzo on modwiggler, I’ve learned it is indeed possible. Takes a different approach to set it up.

For anyone who’s new to the Hermod+ like me, all you have to do is put the Filter effect on any given track, and select which note you’d like the track to respond to. Then long press the track channel button, and specify (in the “inputs” menu) which midi channel you want it to respond to. This makes sure that the track responds even when it’s not the active track.

Cheers!
