You’ve been waiting on this one, and we’re really happy to put it in your hands.
Hermod+OS 3.0 BETA A is out!
The headliner:
• MOD Interpolation:Smooth modulation curves at last (OFF / LIN / S-curve / LOG / EXP), plus modulation track interpolation. It opens up a lot of new ground for automation.
• FX Bernoulli: new probabilistic effect that routes incoming events between two paths (A and B), with adjustable probability.
• Custom Scales: build and store your own scales right on the module, up to 16
• FX MIDI Output: split MIDI+CV at any point in the chain
• FX Hold: hold notes in the chain
• Track Naming
• USB Host overhaul: Take 5, OB-X8, OP-1, Seaboard M, A-88 and many more now play nice
• …and a long list of polish, fixes, and UI improvements Full changelog and download right here:
Heads up: older firmware versions can’t open projects created with this beta, so backup your projects before updating. We’d love to hear what you make of it.

This is great news! Mod interpolation, bernoulli fx… And a big one: mute fx on/off in the mod matrix. This means we can have fx on a per step basis. Really cool, thanks!
After updating, nothing loads, except a message on the module reads XP32 detected, but thats all. I do have the XP32 attached - so how do I make this work? Is it not yet compatible with the XP32?
After a bit of experimentation, it seems that you have to clear the contents of the Hermod folder on the SD card and start from a default factory setup. Is that the experience of others using this firmware?
Hey, I just noticed that in pattern view, when you change tracks via the track buttons, the Track names that are shortly appearing on top of the screen just read 1-8 for the CV channels and MIDI1-8 for the MIDI channels. It would be cool if it showed the custom track names here, too!
