Help with "Active track" settings

I see these settings in V2.1 but no matter how they are set, I’m getting the same behaviour. In coming Midi notes from master keyboard are always sent to any Hapax Track regardless of which track is Active. Is there a way to isolate this?

Yeah, that makes sense. Have you got this work?

Could you please elaborate as to how you have this set and if it works as it should? Thanks

@squarpadmin Hello, could you please confirm this behaviour and if it should be woking correctly or not? Thank you :folded_hands:

@focalsounds I moved your posts to this new topic.

Could you please describe in more detail what the issue is, what you’ve tried, and what you’ve expected ?

Please note that there are two ways to route messages to the active track:

Thanks @Thibault_Squarp

Basically, I have a Roli Seabourd Rise 1.

I have it plugged directly into the Hapax’s Device Input.

I would like to use this as the Master Keyboard for all tracks on the Hapax.

No matter which settings I select in Global Settings, notes are always simultaneously passed to each and every track that is receiving Midi from the Device Input.

I would like to select a track on the Hapax and for the Seaboard to play the instrument assigned to that track only. Hence the terminology - “Master Keyboard”

Could this issue be related to the fact that the internal settings of the Seaboard are set to send on all channels (1-16) as it is used for MPE? I don’t believe this is the issue, as for the Hapax Global setting is for Active Track Only. This should be irrelevant right?

Thank you & I look forward to your solution, as I’m sure this is user error

So I worked out the user error in the end :expressionless_face:
It was in track settings. For some reason if the track wasn’t set to ALL ACTIVE, this issue would occur. When I have each of those tracks set to ALL ACTIVE then the correct selected Track is receiving the Midi notes. Apologies for wasting time here but hopefully someone else finds this troubleshooting useful. Thank you
