aha same here, maybe not 30, but a bunch, challenging to remember what midi port each is hooked to, but enough to try it out
Ok gang just installed beta 2.0 and I’m kinda stuck. I’m trying to audition/load midi loops into a instrument track. When I go to file import,my midi loops are not recognizable or visible on my memory card. I have been able to load complete midi songs that are in I believe midi 01 format . How can load midi loops???
this happens with a beta software. I’m sure they fixing it very quickly. you can still try new things without instr. def. working … looking up or remembering a midi channel is not that hard
on my Hapax card is a MIDI folder… all .mid files in there i can load
Anyone got the screensaver working? Doesn’t seem to do anything on mine.
Seems to work fine for me, you need to go into settings and set the screensaver time.
I really wish there was an option to have the screensaver turn off the screen and button lights instead of giving a lightshow. It’s very distracting at the moment.
Great update though, it’s made so many changes I was hoping for.
Yeah, I wish they at least doubled, up to 16.
I sold mine a while ago, it was a very long wait for this update, it has many of the improvements I was hoping for shame it took so long. I might get one again after the next substantial update.
No consolation of fx yet?
8 drum tracks is not really enough,
Some more creative uses of algorithms would be nice.
This version looks like a nice step forward though and nice update. Big issue for me before was 8 patterns, 16 is far easier to work with
Yeah, only 8 drum tracks is quite a strange choice I think, for such an expansive machine. I would like at least 16 to be able to use it comfortably.
(For the fancy people talking about emailing Squarp about bugs and feature requests: I’ve already done it.)
I’m not sure I understand the “limitation” wrt the drum tracks. It’s an 8x16 grid… if you need more drum tracks just scroll the encoder up or down an octave or note number… everything else depends on the specs of the drum machine you are using it with.
for drum tracks there are only 8 lanes assignable to specific midi notes (corresponding to individual instruments the assigned drum machine). so for a box like the RD-9 with 12 total voices, you’re sacrificing four of those sounds if you want to sequence it from Hapax with a dedicated drum track. yes, you could just sequence it like any other normal MIDI track but that also sacrifices the benefits of having a dedicated drum track in Hapax
wishes are nice but if you dont use the contact page its like you didnt mumble it in a thread where nobody will ever see it or care. dont be a plain person and mumble stuff.
U absolutely Need more drums lanes ? What about adding second drum track ? Or sync your drum machine and Run a pattern there.
Oh i see you can’t sacrifice any of the 15 other midi tracks because of the 15 Poly synth already playing?
Yes 16 drumlanes per track would be cool, and it will probably come someday!..
I just dont get that social complaining habit (Facebook and 4chan are down or what? )
I come here to get or provide tips, and when I have an idea to improve the Tools, in order to be even more spoiled, or if I find some obvious and reproducable dysfonctioning, i write to the squarp Team (who does Listen and provide valuable Feedback like i rarely found in the industry).
So please could we have a whining break ? Just for the seasons greeting at least?
