We’re excited to announce the release of hapaxOS 2.11 ! This update addresses bugs introduced in the previous version, ensuring a smoother and more reliable experience.
Hope I’m not trying to learn this thing on a broken firmware, haha.
Could explain some of my confusion with certain things not doing what it seems like they should…
Hmm if there was a serious enough issue with 2.11 to warrant taking it down I would hope they’d make an announcement. Has to be something wrong with the website imo.
I too would like to know if there is something critically wrong with OS 2.11, which I am presently running.
I don’t understand why Squarp hasn’t posted an explanation. Like, is it just that they had to roll back their website, or is it that OS 2.11 is bricking machines?
I haven’t. Granted, I’ve not had cause to really take it to task since I installed it. However, I was using the beta version before I updated to the official release as well, and didn’t encounter any issues of notable concern with it either.
That they’ve taken it down does raise questions though, and it would be nice if Squarp would comment on this. Ahem!
I’m hesitant to invest too much time into pending projects now, because it seems a pretty drastic move to retract an official OS release. Typically a company would only do that if it had a major flaw, like corrupting projects or bricking machines.
I installed 2.11 yesterday - didnt encounter any problems with it. FX lock did also work, i automated the new scaler FX and the register FX. Its really generative with this FX - really enjoyed it. Very intuitive workflow with these FX, could build a track a in maybe 2-3h, with lots of automations. Abelton feels a bit shallow now. Thinking of ditching the Rytm sequencer alltogether, and go with only hapax drum lanes.
