Hello,
I am creating a midi remixer based on teensy 4.1 that I was mostly planning to use with Hapax.
I thought for a very long time that the synchro was wrongly done (I don’t code it’s all GPT) so I used a fixed internal BPM. Wich was not really practical and not perfect.
And now I did some test with Teensy on usb computer, as well as Elektron analog Rytm and I link them with Midi OX.
And it works fine in sync.
I’m impatient to test with real midi cable but I must wait for some components
But in wait any idea if there is a known problem on Hapax side for midi sync on usb host ?
i had sync problems when hosting a teensy 4.1 to run m8 headless but it turned out to be because of my host which was a raspberry pi 4b. i couldnt tell where the issue was coming from until i tried hosting m8 headless on a windows computer and the problem disappeared.
dunno if that has anything to do with your setup. i guess it was down to raspberry pi os not having a ‘realtime kernel’. since all midi and audio had to go through the rpi. hapax was not to blame! but it sure did light up the m8 headless with awesome sequences and modulations! i still use hapax for the same purpose, with a much better host for the m8 headless front end.
