Hapax with multiple mioXLs

Does anyone use more than one mioXL connected to their Hapax? I’m curious how you go about routing and connecting them. Since Hapax has one usb device port, and one usb host port. Would you connect one mio to each, and then connect each mio together with an ethernet cable via rdp? I don’t have my setup near a router.

I’m running hapax 3.0, figured out virtual cables last night, but it uses up 2 of the mio usb host reservations per mpe synth, one for the synth, and one for the hapax virtual cable. 10 usb host reservations per mioXL. I’m hoping to double that amount by adding a 2nd mioXL if possible.

I only have one MioXL but I do have a MioXM and have tried using both at the same time. XL was on the Host port and the XM was on the device port. I did not like the flex-ability for my use case you I did not test that set up fully.

My New set up Is the Hapax connects to the MioXl from the USB host port, and my computer connects to the USB Device port. The MioXm is connected to my computer. MioXl has 12 midi Din outs available (after I configure the XL with the computer first). This set up gives me the ability to control any thing via the XM through the computer by rerouting through the computer to the MioXm or to use the computer as plugin instrument or the computer can be a sequncer. Lots of options this way. If I remember the MioXm connected to the Device port did not give my full access to all the post since I had to connect to the USB port on the MioXM and that gave me only 1 port of 16 midi channels. My hapax had the MioXL on the host port.
