Hapax to sequence MPC 1000 that function's as a sampler

Hey everyone! I’m new here.

Just got a Squarp Hapax to be the center of my studio. It’s awesome and I control all of my synths with it.

For drums, I also recently bought an MPC 1000 and wanted to use the MPC as a sampler.

On the MPC I’ve loaded different samples on the tracks/pads, and now would like to use the Hapax sequencer to sequence those samples.

However, I’m not able to figure out how to make this work using midi.
Has anyone tried something similar? Or could anyone point me in the right direction?

i sequence my MPC One from Hapax – four of the 16 tracks dedicated to drum program/plugin/keygroup – and it works fine but i don’t know if the 1000’s MIDI implementation is the same. should be as simple as aligning MIDI channels for each separate MPC program you have to the Hapax’s individual tracks/MIDI channel and then assigning MIDI note values to the individual MPC pads that Hapax then triggers
