A midi looper/stutter effect, let’s say non destructive (loops gets back in time when off) with few predefined editable loop points and maybe a loop mode that you can access in Step Mode ( holding up and down arrows ? ) locking the notes and then let you choose the start and end loop points directly on the grid, a little beat like the STEP LOOP mode on the TR-8S or the MOLLI LOOPER for some beat repeat madness .
If I understand you correctly, this is exactly what the currently available loop function is for.
With the current firmware, there is a bug where it doesn’t sync the phase of the grid after exiting the loop, but this will be fixed with the next firmware.
Hello, bumping this because now with 2.10 update being released and with a very stable "back in sync " bug fix for the step looper, I think the idea of pressing both start and end loop points shortcuts at the same time and choosing a step (1-16) to make the step repeat at a desire rate ( like the step repeat mode on the TR-8s ) and choosing two step to make a small loop can be a cool performance fx. The actual way of choosing the start and end points one after each other is not practical for live use.
I will make a feature request for this
