Hapax question: can I control execution from another midi controller?

I am looking for a performance sequencer for my use case. I want to be able to start and stop songs, bring patterns in and out, go to different sections, etc. from an external midi controller. Specifically, I want to be able to run the basic functions of a sequencer while playing another instrument (keyboard or guitar) via a footpedal or keyboard control or another upstream midi source. But I can’t find a midi implementation for this device anywhere to determine what commands it can consume from an input. It looks like a really powerful compositional tool, and perhaps a fun live tool if your primary instrument is Hapax, but does anyone have any experience using it as a secondary midi control/performance sequencer? Is this something the Hapax can do?

You can send transport and clock to hapax, aswell as play your stuff in with a keyboard and you can record midi cc automation in. You cant control the patterns or sections externally though.

it is one of my wishes too!

The only functionality like this right now are the functions you can trigger via foot switch (stop/play, rec, etc.)
