I have the latest firmware. my ‘disclaimer’ is that i love the hapax, but it will freeze up on me just enough to be quite infuriating. Does anyone else experience this? I cannot replicate it - it generally seems to happen when i am editing parameters, and then - well yeah - it just becomes totally unresponsive and i have to reboot it, losing all changes.

Just a thought, most midi gear will crash if you get midi feedback, where an input is getting the output of the device. You dont have anything causing this at all? could be usb device maybe? pressing 2nd & live will show if this is the case. Just worth checking, my hapax never crashes, its awesome. Good luck

good suggestion, but i only had the din midi cable from the hapax to the synth.

squarp is very helpful and there have been issues in the past but nothing squarp hasnt fixed. try their support. but also check the power in your area for brownouts which could cause that. get a UPS to fix that, its like a big capacitor that keeps voltage constant. im not saying this is your issue but gotta check everything! i never have problems and i have a UPS
i dont think it’s power related - it was happening with one particular project and not others. I did submit a support incident.

a UPS is still a great idea. it also gives you half an hour to save everything if the power goes out. also protects you from power surges like if your power lines are struck by lightning. unlikely but possible.
