Hapax Dilla Style groove, swing rhytms

Hi,

I saw someone reselling their Stolperbeats, a super groovy modular sequencer, saying “now I have a hapax.” Okay, hapax is very flexible, but what are your recipes or tips for using hapax for super swinging, groovy, or jazzy rhythms?
Perhaps like Dilla or Steevio?
Thanks

I designed the “warp” feature with tuplets and tuplet-swing in mind.

For example, let’s write a swung 1/8th note hihat groove.

For a quintuplet swing:

Start with empty drum lane, the first 8 steps are:

□ □ □ □ □ □ □ □

Fill the first and the fourth step

■ □ □ ■ □ □ □ □

Select the first five steps

■ □ □ ■ □ □ □ □
╚════════╝

Press MINUS once. Tada ! You’re done.

For a septuplet swing:

Fill the first and the fifth step

■ □ □ □ ■ □ □ □

Select the first seven steps

■ □ □ □ ■ □ □ □
╚════════════╝

Press MINUS three times. Tada ! You’re done.
