Gates from an automation track

Hi all,

I’m looking for a good way to send accent (gates) from Hapax. Ideally, I’d like to keep them on an automation lane, not a seperate track. In this particular case, I want them associated with the same track.

I’ve managed to create gates turning off interpolation and zooming in enough to add mix + max values by hand. But it’s kind of a PITA having to draw the values. Is there a quicker way to do this?

Sidechaining on Hapax

@xeamus , not quite sure where the confusion is here? ENV/Sidechain does not need any sound/drum machine etc… the hapax is doing this all via midi… (and note events) , no audio /cv is used/needed. basically, sidechain is just an inverse envelope, and envelopes are triggered by midi notes. the other quirk for sidechain, to make it ‘audio like’ is that it can be triggered by a specific midi note, rather than all midi notes. so, the basic operation would be. (in you case) put it on your bass…

using the envelope fx, with attack and decay to the minimum, and filtering out the extra trigger note.
